Big Stu

Remember old skool rap? It was first and foremost about enjoyment. There was an innocence, a fun that has been lost in the genre. I, Big Stu, am here to bring it back. I want to enjoy myself and in doing that I want you enjoy me enjoying myself so we can all, well, enjoy ourselves together. I rap about non-conventional subjects, from recipes to triangles to Mick Hucknall and for each song I make a music video This enjoyment manifesto runs through the videos too.

Joe Czarnecki

“Joe Czarnecki ist so eine Art Gott auf der akustischen Gitarre. Glauben Sie's einfach.” TAZ BerlinJoe is not your typical musician. His songs are as dynamic as the Colorado landscape where he grew up. They move beyond stereotypes or genre. He tells fascinating stories with just an acoustic guitar. The songs are powerful, full of twists and turns, played with clarity, emotions as big as Colorado stormclouds and a virtuosity that invites the listener to travel with him. Inspired by everything between Charles Mingus, Modest Mouse, Kaki King, Andy McKee and Jimi Hendrix, Joe shows us a love for musical storytelling mixed with technique that will make your jaw drop.

Osla The Hermit And The Pancake

We started to make music together, in 2008, as a strange little wg houseband with little direction but a desire to dress up as ladybirds. Other members of the flat came and went but one musicship stayed: osla and simen. We performed together in 2009, from some weird covers, some involving bins and beer bottles and then recruited another member, ali (drums). A lot of the songs had been written years / months before, some later and they finally came to life. The piano, it seems will always stay alone in the musical constellation.

Laura Bean

“The Delightfully Intoxicated Miss Laura Bean will have you tappin' your feet and a hollerin' for more!” The Good Reverend Sammy Pickett of Cane Break, Mississippi
Miss Laura Bean can't escape her musical upbringing, growing up in a log house with old records and 8-track recordings and in a family of musicians that played bluegrass, as well as being heavily influenced by the vagabond gypsy swing and jazz of the Berlin underground. At her irreverently humorous live performances, you will hear a grand mish-mash of old murder ballads, rip-roarin' bluegrass tunes, swingin' jazz about her tendency to overindulge and honky-tonk country songs about boozin', playin' music, and the female condition.

Stonedrifters Sound Brigade

The 4 members bring an array of influences and inspirations to the table from their musical heroes right through to the things that make them laugh or cry and with Jared' solid beats and creative fills, and Dan's driving, sometimes Entwistle-esque bass-lines forming the platform for Gary's catchy vocal melodies and steady rhythm , finished off by Jamie's melodic, sometimes aggressive lead riffs and along with the shared ability to perform to near perfection onstage, its easy to hear why this ambitious psychedelic indie rock band are receiving keen interest from the industry in the U.S and Germany alike.

Bobby Starrr

( Jack The Box / Supa Dupa Records / STARRRecordings / UK )

Born in Wolverhampton, England, just after the release of Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder´s seminal disco hit "I Feel Love". Music was an important issue from an early age. Hearing his Mothers Beatles and Motown collections, while mixed with his Fathers love of the Big Band Jazz sound, was to have an effect which would immerge later. At 16 years old, he began working at the independant music shop Mike Lloyd Music in his home town, which caused his craze for vinyl to begin, he started collecting the strange but lovable records from Deep Spiritual Jazz and Classic Hip-Hop right through to Detroit Techno Soul and the emerging UK Bleep Sound.. One sunny day while working, a long conversation arises between Bobby Starrr and Leigh Toro aka Flotel, and thus the club night "Meltdown" was born. "Meltdown" was a night where freestyle djing was the forté.....disco, funk, electro, house, techno and Drum n Bass was called on to be played and featured the likes of guest djs, Andrea Parker, Autechre, dj E.A.S.E. from Nightmares On Wax, Jamie Hodge (+8 Records), Joe Babylon (Plug Research), Luke Vibert, Mike Paradinas aka U-Ziq, Mira Calex and Peshay to name just a few. The party was voted into the top 20 clubs of the year by N.M.E. magazine and Mixmaster Morris at Mixmag also gave props to their endeavers... In 1999, Bobby Starrr moved to Vienna, Austria to concentrate on creating and developing his own sound, both in djing and musical production. The legendary "Wednesday Club" at Stein..s Dinner was the first port of call for his djing and with the Hustler Parties at Pipers Ballroom not too long after also.....Productions were by then in demo mode with the classic sounds from D.I.S.C.O. being eaten and spat out out by his old akai sampler. The project Azazel was first born with Vocalist Ginger and followed by Burn Starrr and The Royal Flush Orchestra.... 2003 called Bobby Starrr to Chicago for a networking summer break. Due to meeting several of the citys artists at The Smart Bar and spending his dollars on 12"s at Gramaphone on Clark Street, thus a love for the "Windy City" grew
